The area most prone to causing paper jam is the area around the platen and the cutting blade.

Removing the platen, and especially replacing it, requires that you remove the front presenter roller assembly and  the presenter table as described in Sections FRONT PRESSURE ROLLERS REPLACEMENT and PRESENTER TABLE REPLACEMENT.
