All parts of the user interface are defined by XML code and contain objects at different levels.  These objects represent the objects rendered on the terminal display.

The user interface definition is separated into two parts. One part defines the user interface for the TFT/LCD display used with CWT 2120 and the CWT Compact with colour display whereas the other part defines the user interface for the STN/LCD display found in the other CWT terminal models.

this chapter describes the basic structure of the user interface together with basic syntax and examples that define the most basic user interface objects.
