CWT Software Configuration Handbook 4.40

Carry-over time is the excess time from a purchased interval. In carry over mode, this excess time is used in a later interval. You can specify how carry-over time between intervals in a tariff package should be treated. This is done by specifying a carry-over mode.

Value

Explanation

no carryover

Any excess time of a purchase in an interval extending beyond the end of that interval is lost.

carryover with recalculation

Any excess time of a purchase in a current interval is recalculated into money that is used to buy time in the next interval. The rates from the next interval are used.

carryover without recalculation

Any excess time of a purchase in a current interval extends into the next interval. No recalculation is made – the time using the rates from the current interval is also used in the next interval.

This is the default carry-over mode. If carryover mode is not defined, this mode will be automatically used.

Example:

carryovermode = carryover with recalculation;
