You can set up, or change, the CWT functions either through the service menu or by creating a cwtconfig.xml file containing the desired functions.
The method of creating a new cwtconfig.xml file is normally used if a new application, or a change, affects several terminals or the costs for visiting the terminals are too high or the time does not allow changes on site. The cwtconfig.xml file can then be distributed via WebOffice to all the affected terminals.
This chapter describes how to prepare a cwtconfig.xml file.
There is an easy way to do this:
•Copy a currentconfig.xml file from an SD card to a USB memory stick.
•Change the file name to cwtconfig.xml.
•Edit cwtconfig.xml in a PC using an XML editor such as the Altova XML Spy.
Save the file on the same SD card. See also Files on SD card, regarding other files that might be needed on the card.
The CWT configuration file is a text file in the Extensible Mark-up Language (XML) format. The file contains elements and sub elements in a hierarchical structure. See an example of a configuration file in Appendix Configuration file example.
Each element with its attributes (attributes) and optional values will be described below.
The service menu can be used to change a few functions in one or a few terminals.
See "The CWT Service Menu" for details. |
