CWT Software Configuration Handbook 4.40

All binaries (.exe or .dll files for Example:) that are run on the terminal have to be signed by a specific Flowbird signature. A signature check is performed on all files that are not included in the operating system.

Example: of a successful signature check for the CE5 platform in the OSLOG:

OEMCertifyInit - \Storage Card\Cwt\cdsappl.exe check if it is a trusted file.

OEMCertifyModule: file is TRUSTED by Flowbird, allow execution

The AVE/WEC7 platform does not report this in the OSLOG file.

If the signature check fails, the file will not run on the terminal. If this is a file in the CWT application, the terminal will not start.  If an external pay unit dll is not signed, the external pay unit will not work (and if WebOffice communication is active, the event “Invalid pay unit binary rejected“ will be sent to WebOffice).

See Versions and signatures for how to find a signature of a file
