All ticket prices and durations are controlled by the StreetSmart HUB. A local tariff package in the cwtconfig has no function other than being present to complete the PAT which is needed for the CWT application’s purchase flow to function.
When a step button is pressed in the user interface or when cash is inserted, a request message is sent to the HUB asking for the price or the duration. While waiting for the response, user interface buttons or pay units may be blocked if so configured.
Tickets can only be purchased when the terminal is online with the StreetSmart HUB.
