Definition

Active session

Active session refers to a parking session that have a valid start and end time within the specified time period and system have matching Parking Ticket registered.

Agent

An agent is an individual or entity authorized to enforce parking regulations and impose monetary penalties on violators.

Claim

A claim is a formal request made by a customer or vehicle owner to contest a parking fine.

Claim Reason

A claim reason is the specific justification or explanation provided by a customer or vehicle owner when contesting a parking fine.

Reasons

no-vehicle; not-owner, transferred-vehicle, usurpation, user-exemption, period-exemption, valid-ticket, valid-eticket, wrong-amount, wrong-deduction, wrong-ticket, invalid-fps, valid-previous-fps, invalid-previous-fps

Claim Status

The claim status indicates the current progress or resolution of a claim made regarding a parking fine.

Statuses

filled, rejected, accepted, transferred, suspended

End User profile

An end-user role representing specific parking rights and parking tariffs. The values displayed depend on how the parking has been configured as requested by the city or providers.

End-user

A person who parks their vehicle on on-street parking

Forfait de Post-Stationnement (FPS)

French parking fines to be paid, but also giving a right to park during a fixed period (typically for the rest of the half day or of the current day)

Fine

Is a monetary penalty imposed on individuals or vehicles for violating parking regulations such as parking in a restricted area, exceeding the time limit in a metered space, parking without a valid permit, or blocking access points

Fine status

Fine status refers to the current condition of a parking fine.

Mobile

A mobile device offering the end-users purchase parking, exposing parking rights, accepting parking payment, and recording parking tickets.

Order

Order is an object created by sales channels for each transaction (paid or free). It can contain one or more products and multiple payment methods.

Park

A customer of the Flowbird parking system to supervise On-Street parking spaces in the city

Parking control

An enforcement agent operation (or automated vehicle scan, automatic cameras…), performed to check whether a vehicle effectively owns a right to park somewhere

Parking meter

A machine (terminal) offering the end-users purchase parking, exposing parking rights, accepting parking payment, and recording parking tickets or permits

Parking permit

A long-term parking right (subscription) sold or offered to register end users. A first kind of permits allows end user to directly park his vehicle where and when he wants, whereas a second kind of permits requires the end user get a parking session (ticket) each time he wants to park

Parking session

Parking session refers to the specific period of time during which a vehicle is legally parked in parking zone.

Payment channel

Payment channel refers to the method or platform through which payments are made and processed.

Payment method

A payment method refers to the way or means by which a customer chooses to pay for service.

Payment phase

A payment phase refers to a distinct stage in the payment process.

Payment status

A current state of a payment, such as: pending , paid, overpaid, cancelled.

Physical sales

A transaction occurs in a physical place (terminal, Point of Sales) where the coordinates are registered in the system.

Point of Sales

Ticket office (digital or physical) provided by the city to renew your permits

Purchase

Purchase refers to a successful transaction made for the parking session, where the user has paid for parking service within the specified period of time.

Sale transaction

A transaction performed on a device allowing the end user to purchase or to freely get a parking right (parking session, parking permit, …) or to pay a fine

Sales Application

Application used by the end user to purchase their product (Parking meter, smartphone application like the Flowbird App)

Sales Channel

This is the form the end-user interacts with: Parking meter, smartphone…

Sales Status

Statuses possible for sales:

Delivered - means a completed sale

Payment Due - awaiting payment

Processing - in progress

Cancelled - the order was cancelled, no parking occurred

Problem - complete with issues

Returned - the paid amount has been returned to the end-user

In Transit - being delivered

Pick Up Available - is ready for pick up

Tariff zone

A geographical area of a park with given parking prices where the end-user can park their vehicle. The values displayed depend on how the parking has been configured as requested by the city or providers.

Tariff zone

A geographical parking zone that has been used to calculate the parking tariff

User

An individual having access to the Flowbird parking system.

User profile

An end-user role representing specific parking rights and parking tariffs. The values displayed depend on how the parking has been configured as requested by the city or providers.

Validity zone

Zone of a park where a parking product (parking ticket or permit) is considered valid. The values displayed depend on how the parking has been configured as requested by the city or providers.
