The news feature is used by system administrators to publish news visible to all Flowbird customers. This requires the existence of a global news gadget (in contrast to company-specific news gadgets), in which the news items are displayed on the WebOffice Today start page.
Company-specific news gadgets, in contrast to global news gadgets, are normally managed by company administrators. Therefore, the administration of company-specific news gadgets is handled by selecting Company Administration > Company News on the WebOffice menu.
Note also that both global and company-specific news gadgets are added to the system by developers (in contrast to gadgets based on OLAP analysis reports, which can be added by system administrators). All existing gadgets are listed on the Gadgets page, accessible by selecting System Administration > Function Management > Gadgets on the WebOffice menu.
