Post Payment server types are used when a Pay Unit is needed to do the Checkout of a transactions. Currently this only applies to the Artema Card Readers.
Terminals are set up with different roles for system activities:
•Preferred: The terminal is normally used for system activities.
•Second choice: The terminal is only used for requests and system activities if no preferred terminal is available.
•Standby: The terminal is only used if no preferred or second choice terminal is available.
•Blocked: The terminal will never be used for requests and system activities; it will only be used for customer interaction.
