Fixed document mode. Page length will be the length set by the page length attributes described in Section Page length, high byte / Page length, low byte (#37, 38). Shorter documents will automatically be extended while longer documents will be divided into several pages of the set length. |
1 |
Variable document mode. The length of the page varies with the content. Printouts shorter than the value specified by attributes 37 and 38 will be extended to that length. |
2 |
Black mark mode. For printers with firmware version 3.80 and higher ( Black mark calibration ). Pre-printed black marks set the page length according to the page length attributes described in Section Page length, high byte / Page length, low byte (#37, 38). Minimum one page length is always fed. If a black mark is found before that, the printer feeds to the next black mark, then cuts and ejects. This ensures that no small paper strips are cut off and remain in the printer. |
Note: Max page length in fixed document mode is about 140 mm. |
