Payment services, Articles, and Tariffs (PAT) are important concepts in the CWT.
Payment service is how a purchase is made, e.g. through prepayment or post-payment.
Article is what the CWT sells, e.g. parking rights or beverage.
Tariff is the price.
To make a purchase in a CWT there must be at least one payment service, one article and one tariff involved.
A CWT can have several payment services, articles and tariffs, and before a purchase can be made a selection of payment Service, article, and tariff must be made – a PAT selection.
All combinations of payment service, article, and tariff are not necessarily allowed so the selection process can be rather complex.
A default type of payment service, article, and tariff can be configured to be used when the CWT is in idle mode.
