How to use the Tariff Editor

This section displays a Tariff Package in a weekly format displaying the different rates as they change during the day.

Note:
Currently the day order is fixed to the same order as the parameter normalweek in the CWT CALENDAR element.

Standard week with Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, an Sat  linked to Mon

After opening a Tariff Package, the editor will try to render the Tariff Package to a Standard week layout. If this is not possible the editor will display an error. In that case the tariff is to complex and must be changed by hand in the configuration file. If you need help with this ask our global support to help you out.

Note:
Not all the Tariff Packages can be converted to use the Tariff Editor due to complex structures or unrecognised commands.
Some Tariff Packages may be rendered differently than expended due to use of not standard value. In those cases it is almost always possible to redesign the tariff to fit the standard week.

During the development phase the tariff can be displayed in its CWT script format as text. It is possible to edit the script in the text box.
This requires good knowledge of the Tariff Scripting language. This language is described in the CWT Software Configuration HandbookTE-Scriptview

Standard week interface

The Standard week interface uses the following elements

Standard week header, used for Linking days together

Standard week Header

The Standard week header displays the week names and the link information.

Seven columns, one for each week day

During the development and beta test the week will start on Monday

A time bar on the left side to give an indication on the start and stop times of Intervals

During the development the intervals can start each half hour for performance reasons. this may be resolved in a later release.

A section on the right side for setting minimum and maximum time and/or amount for the whole tariff. This includes the exception types.

Currently these setting are defined for the whole tariff description, even the exception types. this will be changed in a later release.

Linking days

Days that use the same Tariff structure can be linked to each other. see Linking days together

In the example above, Monday to Saturday are linked together. If a change is made in one of those days. it will be reflected in all the linked days.

Reference:
To read more about the Calendar as it is used in a CWT read to CWT Software Configuration Handbook section CALENDAR element

The tariff Editor uses the normalWeek as it is defined in the CWT.

<CALENDAR normalWeek="0000012" ...>

0 = Monday to Friday

1 = Saturday

2 = Sunday

We recommend to use this setting even when e.g. all days use the same tariff.

Changes like setting the Thursday for Ascension Day to act a Sunday are set in the Calendar. See Manage the calendar. These days are called Exception Days.

When a specific day needs a separate tariff this is done using exception types.

Setting exception days is done in the Exception Types part of the Tariff Editor or in the Calendar.
