Settings in this section are related to hand-held units (such as PDAs), used by traffic wardens for receiving information about whether parking time has expired or not.
The vehicles, for which parking time has been purchased, are identified by accompanying information about the registration plate number, entered in the CWT by the driver in connection with the purchase.
1.In the Grace Time list box, select the number of minutes a parking ticket should still be considered valid, after the actual parking time has expired.
Note: The Grace Time is also used when WebOffice creates data for the enforcement list that is printed in a CWT Terminal. |
2.In the Display Mode list box, select the desired display mode for the hand-held device.
oNo Time: No end time is displayed, only the colour code (the default setting).
oRemaining Time: The remaining number of minutes is displayed.
oEnd Time: The absolute end time is displayed.
3.In the Expired Time Limit list box, select the time limit for storing purchases. When set to e.g. 60 minutes (the default setting), only purchases made within the last 60 minutes are stored.
4.In the Refresh Warning Time list box, select the number of minutes that the list of Online Purchases should be considered valid. The default setting is 3 minutes. When the refresh warning time is exceeded, the time limit (in minutes) displayed in the hand-held unit will begin to flash in red.
5.In the Records Per Page list box, select the number of records per page that should be displayed in the hand-held device. The default setting of 10 records per page might need to be changed depending on the screen resolution of the hand-held device.
6.In the "Replace Characters In Purchase Code" field, you can enter the characters in the Code field of a purchase to be replaced with the characters specified. In the example in the screen-shot, every ‘I’ in the Code will be replaced with a ‘1’, the Ö with an O and so on.
The Code field is translated using these rules when copied to the Active Purchase Table. This field must be set when problems arise when scanning license plates.
The characters are case sensitive i.e. to replace characters ‘i’ and ‘I’ to character ‘1’ you must enter string i=1;I=1.
It is also possible to remove characters by leaving the part behind the equal sign (=) blank.
NOTE: All characters that match the character in front of the equal sign will be removed! |
Existing active purchases are not updated when changing the characters to replace.
