1. Using Tariff Package Details

For the tariff band analysis to work as expected, it is important that each purchase is related to one and only one tariff band at a certain time.  To ensure proper configuration a validation function has been created.  The function is invoked by choosing the ‘Validate Tariff Bands’ custom action in the toolbar in either of the forms described above:

The validation function will warn if inconsistencies exist.

Information
All tariff bands are configured correctly.

The validation function will check that tariff identities are not mapped to the same terminal several times.

In the case when both global and terminal local tariff bands are defined for a company, the local tariff band will be selected first.

In addition to this terminal filter on tariff bands we add a calculated overpayment amount in the analysis model to simplify reporting. The measure is named Tariff Band Overpayment and is in the Tariff Related folder in the Purchase measure group. The delta amount between the tariff band’s lower bound value and the paid amount will be available as the overpayment amount. We will not mix this overpayment amount with another upcoming overpayment amount.

2. Using the Validate Tariff Bands Page.

The status indicator will depict the severity of any errors found. Yellow issues can be acceptable but red issue should be fixed.

A warning is issued if a company has both global and terminal related tariff bands defined. Global tariff bands will be used for terminals than haven’t been assigned to a non-global tariff band.

An error is issued if a terminal is included in more than one tariff band with tariff package time overlap.
