User impersonation is used by Flowbird Support when e.g. providing support to company administrators (or customer administrators, viewed from a Flowbird perspective).  By impersonating a user in another company, Flowbird Support can get the same system view as the company administrator (the language settings, however, of the original user will, remain in force).

Note:
It is not possible to change your password when impersonated!

For example, impersonation must be used to view the terminal structure of a certain company.

When a new company is added to WebOffice, a so-called impersonation account is created automatically by the system for that company.  The impersonation account typically has the same access rights and permissions as a company administrator.

When setting up user account impersonation, a system administrator can specify which users should be able to use the impersonation account in other companies (see Add company impersonation to users).

However, prior to specifying which companies a user should have access to using the impersonation function, the impersonation feature must be enabled for the user.  This is done on the User Account Details page by selecting the Impersonable check box in the General Information section (this check box is only visible to system administrators).
The User Account Details page is accessed by selecting User Administration > User Accounts on the WebOffice menu.

Impersonation can be set in two ways:

1.Per user selecting the company to impersonate to

2.Per company selecting the users that may impersonate to this company

When a company has been added to the list, it can be selected in the Impersonate list box by the user.

The Impersonate list box is accessible system-wide, in the header bar.
