Clicking the Open Filter Area button will show the filter area. The icon changes to 
(Close filter). Clicking this icon will close the filter area.
The Filter area will default contain 1 tab.
The Filter tab will show the standard filter fields for the current page. These fields will differ from page to page, but their behaviour will be standard for the type of field. see Filter field types.
The Advanced filet tab allows you to create more complex filters. To get access to the advanced filtering check the Advanced Filter check box in the User Details page . See Advanced filtering for a description on how to use advanced filtering.
