This feature makes it possible to send (push) commands to a terminal using an SMS message.
Warning: These commands only work with a 3G modem installed in your terminal. Older 2G modems do not support this feature. |
After adding the terminal’s Phone number to the Terminal Details page, you need to re-open the Terminal Details Page to get the Push Command Section on the Terminal Jobs tab visible.
Note: The Terminal must be configured to accept the SMS. Currently only a CWT can accept these messages. If you do not know the phone number for a SIM card ask you provider. You will need the ICC ID that is written on the card to get this number. |
The following options are available:
•Force Heartbeat will send a push command to the terminal informing it to do a heartbeat.
•Force Command will send a push command to the terminal informing it to run the selected job. The following jobs are currently available:
oSubmit Ongoing Purchases.
oSubmit Transactions.
oSubmit Collections.
oSubmit System Information.
oGet Card Number Prefix.
o Submit Terminal Measurements.
oGet Encryption Key.
oSubmit Statistics.
oSubmit PayUnit Account.
After the command has been sent successfully, the page updates with a notification. This notification means that the message has been sent from WebOffice to the provider. The provider must send the SMS to the terminal. There may be some delay.
